About Wilder Square Co-op Apartments

Community

Wilder Square Co-op, a Thomas-Dale neighborhood landmark, has provided safe and affordable housing  since 1974.

Wilder Square Co-op is a 163 unit cooperative family housing community for low to moderate income adults and families.  It consists of 43 two-and-three bedroom townhouses, 62 two-bedroom apartments, 53 one-bedroom apartments, and five efficiency apartments.   Residents of Wilder Square Co-op are shareholders/members in the corporation that owns the housing development.  Members participate in all decisions related to their homes and communities through representation on the board of directors, and by participating in the election of board members.  Resident/members also accrue limited equity in their homes or apartments and benefit from many of the same tax advantages as traditional home owners.
