Asset Analyst – St. Paul, MN (Coporate)
Purpose: Maintain financial records for multiple entities and oversee assets for both Real Estate Equities and Elite Destination Homes. The asset analyst will be key in assisting the Controller in providing portfolio wide metrics, financial information, and help in implementing efficiency initiatives for the accounting department. This role will be a mix of recurring accounting tasks, annual projects, and ad hoc responsibilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial records for multiple entities
- A/R and A/P responsibilities
- Produce monthly financial reports
- Reconcile cash accounts and loan balances
- Reconcile and prepare supporting documents for General Ledger accounts
- Process year-end accounting functions, including recording of journal entries
- Create annual budgets
- Track capital project expense against budget
- Assist with researching and implementing new modules within accounting software
- Assist in compiling overall portfolio metrics for asset management reporting on the residential properties
- Track and confirm the completion of periodic accounting functions such as annual ownership distributions, tax and insurance payments, annuals audits, tax returns, and more.
- Assist with preparation of non-operational items for annual budgets
- Assist with the financial tracking of rehab projects compared to budget
Non-Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Position Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required, with emphasis on accounting or finance
- 0-3 years accounting experience, preferably in property management
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and in writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Superb problem-solving abilities
- Yardi experience preferred
